Tanzania is full of rocks to be climbed mostly being granite and basalt. Not much has been developed but we offer climbing on top rope east of Tarangire National Park. The climbing is on beautiful granite with difficulties ranging from 5.7 – 5.11. This is a great place to spend one or two full days climbing before entering Tarangire National Park. The area has wildlife and one can spot giraffe and impala while climbing. You would be accompanied by local Maasai from the area that will be your guides in the area.
We are currently developing a climbing area on the slopes of Mount Meru. This is Basalt rock with great features and as of now is all top rope climbing. The climbs are situated along a gorge with great forests and river below allowing for forest bird watching as well. A great area to climb if you have a day in Arusha.
