Gabriel Thomas Msari is a seasoned safari and mountain guide with over nine years of experience leading tours across Tanzania and Kenya. Born in Arusha, Tanzania, Gabriel's profound connection to nature began in his childhood, spending time with his grandfather learning about local flora and fauna and assisting his father in Serengeti National Park. These early experiences, including chasing elephants from his family farm and exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, ignited a lifelong passion for wildlife.
Gabriel's formal education in guiding began in 2012 at Mwiba Training College, where he dedicated four years to studying Tour Guiding, English, French, and Spanish. It was during this time that he cultivated a deep interest in ornithology and entomology, further enhancing his expertise in the natural world. Fluent in three languages, Gabriel excels at sharing the stories of the land, its animals, and the local culture with a diverse range of visitors.
For Gabriel, guiding is more than a profession; it's an opportunity to forge connections between people and nature, allowing them to experience the wild as he did as a young boy. His commitment extends to conservation and education; he co-founded Attraction Birds Conservation, a group dedicated to teaching birding and connecting aspiring guides with tour companies. He also remains active in teaching wildlife guiding to students and has establishing both a tourism college and an NGO focused on youth empowerment and nature protection. In his free time, Gabriel is an avid birdwatcher and enjoys fishing, a pastime he has cherished since childhood.
