Hikes for Adrenaline seekers

Climb the Roof of Africa, the Mountain of God, and the Volcano of Fire
Picture

Mt.Kilimanjaro

Hike up the tallest peak in Africa which is also the highest single free standing mountain in the world! Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is a beautiful hike taking a minimum of 5 days to climb to Uhuru peak situated at 5,902 meters (19,364 ft). Since one only starts acclimating after 4 days we highly recommend climbs that are more gradual taking 6-8 days. These longer climbs allow you to traverse the mountain taking in more of the scenery and flora and fauna. This mountain isn't very technical however being at higher elevations you want to have guides that have had a good standard of training and equipment to make sure you have a safe assent. We will help organize a climb for you with a operator that we trust has high guiding standards and is within your price range.

Mt. Meru

Mount Meru is a 4,562-meter (14,967-ft) volcano in Arusha National Park, Tanzania. It is a popular climb for hikers of all levels, as it is not as technical as Mount Kilimanjaro. The climb typically takes 4 days, starting in the glades of Arusha National Park, where you may see giraffes and African buffalo. As you ascend into the forest, you are likely to see colobus monkeys and sykes monkeys. The views from the summit are stunning, and on a clear day, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Ol Doinyo Lengai

Climb Ol Doinyo Lengai, the Mountain of God. Ol Doinyo Lengai is an active volcano in Tanzania, sitting at an altitude of 2,962 meters (10,459 ft). It is sacred to the Maasai people, who believe it to be the home of their god Engai. The volcano is known for its unique carbonatite lava, which is the only type of lava in the world that cools to form black, glassy rocks. Climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai is a challenging but rewarding experience. The hike is steep and strenuous, but the views from the summit are stunning. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Lake Natron, a soda lake that is home to millions of flamingos. If you are planning to climb Ol Doinyo Lengai, it is important to be in good physical condition. The hike takes about 6-8 hours, and the altitude can be challenging for some people. It is also important to be aware of the risks involved in climbing an active volcano. In addition to climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai, you can also explore the surrounding area, which is home to a variety of wildlife and stunning scenery. Lake Natron is a must-see for birdwatchers, and the Ngare Sero river is a great place to go for a swim or go whitewater rafting.
