Dry Season

June-November
The 'Dry season' starts around June, as the grasses and earth turns to the shades of brown the Great Migration moves north into central and finally northern Serengeti where they cross the famous Grumeti and Mara River. As water becomes more scarce, densities of animals congregate around permanent water allowing for the best wildlife show on the planet. This is the more popular time to travel and the common routes get very busy with tourist. A perfect time to embed some of our more exclusive and more active components.

Green Season

December-May
The "Green Season" is a great time to come to Tanzania despite what many reviews suggest. From November till May northern Tanzania has rainfall in two season's. The once sun-beaten earth goes through a magical transformation bursting with new green growth in a matter of days. Migrant birds return to the lush explosion of life driven by much needed moisture. The Great Migrations of Wildebeest pour into the southern short grassland plains of Serengeti - Ngorongoro Area. Have a look at some of our sample itineraries that take in the best Northern Tanzania has to offer.
